If you’ve ever wondered what Kenny G would sound like if he kicked it up a notch, then you need to listen to this guy play. Panama City, Florida saxman and multi-instrumentalist Chris Godber has dropped a spirited collection of joyous saxophone jams into the musical collection plate as MY OFFERING, and frankly I think you’d be able to fund an entire church on these positive vibes! Chris’ fourth release to date is a vibrant mix of originals (“Soul Jam” and the first radio single, “Kick Back,” to name two) and covers, including the 70’s hit “Ain’t No Stoppin,” EW&F’s “September,” and Grover Washington Jr.’s classic, “Mister Magic.” Chris has suffered from asthma since his youth, but has overcome it to the point of still being able to play… and play powerfully… truly a testament to his faith and determination.
