Nathan and Noah East - Yesterday
Nathan & Noah East - Yesterday cover
Nathan and Noah East  |  Yesterday

Ten years after Noah East, bassist Nathan East’s son, made his recording debut in a duet of “Yesterday” with his legendary dad on Nathan’s Grammy nominated self-titled solo album, the duo returns with a completely re-imagined version of the Beatles classic. Since that time, Noah, now 24, has been following closely in the footsteps of Nathan, a longtime member of contemporary jazz supergroup Fourplay as well as Eric Clapton’s band, and has appeared on thousands of recordings. The younger East has established himself as an in-demand touring and session pianist and organist, with performances in Europe, Japan and the U.S. While their original take on “Yesterday” featured Noah’s exquisite piano work and Nathan’s breezy vocals, this new twist from the forthcoming FATHER SONG debut album, offers a slow-simmering, bluesy instrumental highlighting stellar organ mastery, with trademark Nathan East solo improvisation.
