The story finally unfolds for veteran New York based producer and composer John Smatla on this highly anticipated Ultrablue collection, NEW YORK STORIES. In the current iteration of Ultrablue, Smatla assumes full artistic control and continues his fascinating and sophisticated jazz collective with top east coast session musicians and special all-star contributors including Chieli Minucci, Randy Brecker, David Mann, Joel Rosenblatt, New York Voices, and Eric Knight.
