Now recording under the single moniker DiAngelis after releasing his 2021 debut album FRANKLY as Frank di Angeles, Dutch composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist brings two instantly identifiable trademarks to his ultra-melodic, funked up blend of jazz, pop and R&B – incredible female vocals and an aesthetic he calls the “Steely Dan principle,” always choosing the best (fellow Dutch) musicians rather than working with a fixed lineup. Besides Walter Becker and Donald Fagen, DiAngelis’ other influences include Toto, Level 42, Boz Scaggs and musicians Jeff Porcaro and Mark King. Fueled by spirited grooves, soaring atmospheres and fiery horns, his vibrant, high octane new single “Now Is Everything” finds his chorus of female vocalists offering a bright, optimistic message of perseverance and self-reliance, building towards a rousing crescendo.
