Discerning pop and jazz ears might not think the voices of late greats Tina Turner and Ella Fitzgerald have anything in common, but throughout Skii Harvey’s multi-faceted career, the Australian-born Billboard Music Awards and UK Songwriting Awards winner has been favorably compared to both. Equal parts sensuality and sassiness, Harvey capped a seven year chapter she called the “broken years” with her 2024 single “Somethin’ Bout You.” Turning the page to 2025 with both confidence and a defiant, gospel-tinged spirit on her latest single. “Mr. Know It All,” is an in your face, pointed, jazzy pop tune (with an alluring opening of finger snap percussion) that finds her leaving a checked out man who now finds himself alone because he played games and missed his opportunity to respect the one who loved him most.
