How did this new album and overall concept for it come about, and what are your ultimate goals with it?
The new recording was based on old tunes that I had written years ago for fun. The ultimate goal is to earn respect from musicians and most importantly those who buy our recordings in large enough numbers to help truly deserving musicians earn a good honest living while providing entertainment.
What do you find to be the most challenging aspect of recording a new album?
The most daunting task was to have coordinated the performers and studios while maintaining a non musical day job.Which in my case is teaching 4th graders in Baltimore City.
How would you describe what inspires you to do what you do?
The Blues! Smile!
What artists do you feel akin to or in the same tribe with?
The Innovators of Jazz and the Blues.
What elements do you look for in a song that makes it especially satisfying for you to perform?
The vibe of the message found within all the musical elements of the tune or song.
Of your touring and gigs so far in your career, do any stand out as being particularly memorable or defining moments?
