How did this new album and overall concept for it come about, and what are your ultimate goals with it?

I started writing ďLove IsĒ about 6 months after I released ďLittle Red BoxĒ. Iíve spent the past 2 years writing and producing it. I wanted to write an album that was slightly different yet familiar. I wanted to do better than I had. I was inspired by Love. I donít think we talk about it enough and we need more of it. Iím old school at heart and it motivates me! My ultimate goal is to sell an incredible amount of units, win a Grammy and tour the world based on this album. I gotta shoot for the stars!

What do you find to be the most challenging aspect of recording a new album?

Writing a great song!

At what point in your life did you make the decision to become a professional musician and actually record your own albums?

About 12 years ago I was working a regular 9-5 job and I just felt an overwhelming urge to quit because I didnít want to take my last breathe and ask ďWhat If?Ē. My entire life changed the day I made that decision.

How would you finish this sentence? ďI donít like to go a day without_________?

Being Grateful.

Going back in your life as far as you can remember, what song or performance is the first you recall hearing and being affected by?

When I was a kid my parents took me to see Ray Charles. I remember the band started playing and there was something that Ray didnít like and he stopped the band and had them start the song over after explaining that that was not how the song should be played. Incredible and Iíve never forgotten that moment. Another was watching Bob James playing a song on electric piano at a concert and something happened to it and he, without a beat turned to the acoustic grand piano and continued playing the song. Seems like a small thing but that also is something Iíll never forget.

When the times arise for you give back for the success and abundance you enjoy, what kinds of opportunities do you look for?

Iím always looking to help other talented singer/songwriters/musicians by speaking highly of them to others in the business or to give them an opportunity in some way.

What aspect of the creative process, from concept to market, do you personally find to be the most rewarding?

Experiencing love, life, joy and all the stuff that that goes into inspiring a song.
